Mecate Reins

Horsehair reins are without a doubt beautiful and useful, but sometimes you just don’t want to deal with that prickly feeling, which is why I’m excited to offer rope mecate reins! 

Here at Tiger Lilly's Tack Shop, all of our custom reins are handmade using clinician-quality yachting rope. The ends are hand spliced and feature leather poppers on both ends. 

Available in the standard 22 ft length, these rope mecates can go with your favorite bosal or slobber straps.
